Our Commitment to Safety

How we have been Preparing our Office for You

We recognize times have changed. Priorities have shifted. Today, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our team and patients. With this in mind, we are happy to share the many additional steps we are taking to make every visit to our office as safe as possible. These actions are incremental to our normal standards of care that meet or exceed all CDC, OSHA and ADA guidelines for dental practices.  Our goal is to add peace-of-mind to the friendliness and clinical excellence you have come to expect. Of course, this is part of an on-going commitment that will evolve with the times. As always, we welcome the opportunity to answer any of your questions and to address all concerns.

We are in this together, and we will never underestimate the power of a smile!

 

Advanced Staff Training - All of our team members have completed additional awareness and prevention programs to enhance their knowledge and preparedness.  They have completed certified training in the updated Infection controls mandated by the CDC, ADA and California Department of Health. 

 
 

Daily Health Checks for our Team - Our daily protocols require all employees to record their temperature and complete a wellness check at the beginning of each workday ensuring that our team is ready, willing and able to provide safe dental care – every day.

 

 

No Handshakes or Hugs - We love our patients. However, we will save our hearty welcomes and goodbyes for a later date when things are "back to normal."  As always, the staff and doctors are always available through text, email and facetime.

 

Enhanced Personal Protective Equipment and Standards - We have always been extra careful maintaining the highest safety standards in our office with weekly testing of our equipment and stringent adherence to OSHA standards.  We are fully stocked with N95 masks, gowns, face shields and Hair Coverings and have trained extensively on their proper use, sterilization and disposal.

 

 

Office scrubs and working clothes are laundered at the office and not permitted outside of office.  We change out of our scrubs at the office when we leave, and they are laundered on premises. 

 

 

Pre Treatment Rinses -We will provide you with an anti-microbial rinse to swish in your mouth for 60 seconds before every appointment to minimize any possible aerosol.

 

 

Virtual Waiting Room -Now, you can check-in from your car. As a result, you are able to minimize contact with others, bypass the reception area, and go directly to your treatment room.

 

 

No Patient Outside Gloves - To minimizing cross-contamination, it is an important part of our plan. We will ask you to dispose of any outside gloves before you enter.

 

Sequence Patient Scheduling - Plain and simple, we are not seeing as many patients. We are allocating more time between visits for coming, going and cleaning.  Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients which may mean you will be you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

 

Pre -Screening of Every Patient - A quick health questionnaire and consent form, along with a no-touch temperature, will be completed when you arrive at our office.

 

 

 

Expanded Patient Appointments - In an effort to save you time and multiple exposures, we are offering extended appointments. This allows us to do more dentistry in a single visit.  

 

 

Hand Sanitizing Stations - Every patient will be asked to thoroughly disinfect their hands at the station right inside the doorway.  Additional no-touch hand sanitizers are located throughout the office.

 

Social Distancing in Place - Fewer chairs in our reception area ensure  6' separation for social distancing however, we discourage the use of the waiting room and prefer that you wait in your car to minimize exposer to others.   Chairs, Furniture and Doorknobs in the office are cleaned on a strict schedule. 

 

CDC APPROVED INSTRUMENT STERILIZATION - This is standard procedure at all, and nothing has changed. Anything that goes near your mouth is heat and pressure cleaned between every use.

 
 

 

N95 and ASTM Level 3 Masks - The beautiful smiles of our clinical team – dentists, hygienists, and assistants – will be protected behind the appropriate masks at all times.

 

 

Face Shields - Our clinical staff will be wearing N95 mask with an additional surgical masks-Double protection.    Our clinical team will also protect you and themselves through the use of FDA-approved PET face shields.

 

 

Front Desk Masks - Even our friendly administrative team will also be wearing surgical masks and work scrubs. Don’t worry. They are smiling behind those masks!

 

 

Advanced Chairside Suction - Whenever possible, we will activate high-speed evacuation to minimize aerosol contamination and improve air quality.

 

 

Advanced Air Purification in Each Room - To eliminate viral aerosols in our office environment,  we have equipped every room with state of the art PECO air purifiers by MoLEKULE.  These in room Air Purification units, unlike HEPA filters are proven by science to destroy the widest range of pollutants including RNA Viruses like Corona-19.   They will clear a room of aerosols in 10 minutes and are on 24 hours a day.

 

Together, from Screening to State of the art Equipment, each carefully designed step of your next Dental visit exponentially increases you safety in our office.
