Welcome Back

May 24, 2020

To our Patients,

Our community has been through a lot over the past few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, and you may have seen this during previous visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We do this to ensure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency's recommendations.

We have updated our safety protocols according to newly released guidelines that will improve the safety of both our patients and team.

We will be reopening out practice beginning this June in Phase II of Santa Clara County Health Department Reopening of Dental Offices. In this Phase two we will have all the doctors and assistants on deck, working to catch up with the non-life-threatening emergencies that have been postponed during the shelter in place. Hygiene and recall appointments will resume in Phase three in July.

Welcome Back and Stay Healthy

What to Expect at your Next Appointment

You will be called to set up an appointment soon.  We are prioritizing emergencies at this time and will be working additional hours to help get our patients stabilized who have been most effected by the pandemic.  We will need you to fill out some new forms online before you can be seen.

Mobile Check-In To control the number of individuals in the building at one time, we will be utilizing a mobile check-in feature until further notice. Once you arrive, please give us a call or text us at 408 224-0404

Prescreening before being seated.  When you are called to come in, please wear a mask.  If you don’t have one let us know and we will provide one at the door.   You should will be sent a brief health questionnaire for you to complete digitally on your phone once you arrive in the parking lot and check in with your phone.

Once you enter the facility with a mask, you will be met at the door where we will  take your temperature with a non-touch thermometer before you are seated in the treatment room.

Social Distancing - Once inside, you will be directed to your treatment room. Guests will be temporarily limited to accompany only those patients 18 years old and younger or where special arrangements have been made. We ask that all other guests please wait in their vehicles. Water is available for guests while they wait.

Additional time has been added between patient appointments to minimize patient interaction and implement enhanced safety protocols in our common areas. Reception, restrooms, door handles, counters and furniture will be disinfected regularly to ensure the highest level of sanitation.

What we require from our patients

- If you are sick, running a fever, coughing or not feeling well, please reschedule your appointment and do not enter the office. We are happy to reschedule your appointment at no charge and we thank you for considering the health of others.

- If you are healthy and you come for your regular appointment, please use a tissue when coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose, throw the tissue away, and wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water afterwards. Using hand sanitizer of 60% alcohol concentration is also acceptable for washing hands.  We offer hand sanitizer at the front desk and in every operatory!

- If you have traveled to any areas outside of U.S. within two weeks of your scheduled appointment, please contact our office and reschedule.  (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html)

Insurance and Financial inquires will be taken care of via outside office communications when possible.  We encourage our patients to communicate any concerns they may have via text, email or phone call before and after appointments to minimize traffic in the office.   We are moving toward digital Pay Online or from by phone systems for your safety and convenience.

We are here to serve our patients, and our highest priority is to keep our community safe and healthy.  We can assure you Almaden Dental Associates is one of the safest places to be during this time, and having the proper dental treatment is one way to make your body healthier.  Having untreated dental or oral infections in your mouth can negatively affect your immune system!

If you have any questions or concerns, please call us or text us at (408) 224-0404 or email us at staff@almadendental.com
